Black Jack - Strategy

Blackjack occurs when you have a total of 21 with the first two cards (for example: ace and a picture card or a ten.) You will be paid in the ratio of 3 : 2. Your blackjack may be equaled only by the dealer's blackjack, which will result in a "standoff".

Double
If you feel you need only one card, you may double the amount of your bet. This option is possible only for the first two cards and for the first two cards after the split (see below).

Split
If your first two cards have the same numerical value or if they are face cards worth 10 each, you may split your cards and create a "second hand". For this second hand, you have to place the same bet as you made for the original game. For each of these two "hands" you will be dealt cards for the game in the above-mentioned manner. If, after the split you have the first two cards in one hand of the same value, you may split them again as before. You may play with a maximum of four "hands".

Exception:
If you split two aces, you will only obtain one additional card for each. During a game, if aces are split and you then receive a 10, or a picture card, it will not be regarded as blackjack, but only as the total of 21 because this card combination was not achieved with the first two cards.

Insurance
If the dealer's first card is an ace, you may buy insurance against a blackjack. To do this, you may bet an amount up to half of your bet on the insurance line. If the dealer gets blackjack, you will be paid an insurance amount in the ratio of 2 : 1 even if your original bet is forfeited. If the dealer does not achieve blackjack, the insurance amount will be forfeited. You can also buy insurance for a Double or Split situation.

Box
Up to three bets may be located in one box. However, the overall value of your bets must not exceed the maximum value determined for your gaming table.

Surrender
If you have already received your first two cards and the dealer does not have an ace, you may “surrender” or finish your game early. Half of your bet will be given to the bank. If you obtain a third card or the cards are split or doubled, you cannot surrender.
